Tackifier is the glue that holds the mixture together. This allows the mulch, seed, and fertilizer to stay close to the ground during germination. It prevents potential run offs in case of over watering, or rain/snow. It also assists with holding soil in place and is essential in erosion control. It can be used with mulch to create a barrier to prevent mud piles during the rainy season, or to hold hills during construction before grass seeds are required. We use two different kinds of tackifier SoilFloc, and Guar.
